Volunteer Information
West Park Jr Panthers Youth Football & Cheer depends on family volunteers to keep each season running smoothly. Our entire program—including the board and coaching staff—is volunteer-powered, and your support directly impacts our athletes’ experience.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
- 8 hours per athlete
- 4 hours for mascots
- Maximum of 16 hours per family
Hours are based on the 2025 season and may vary year to year.
VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT
- $500 deposit check per family
- $200 deposit check for mascot families
- Checks are held and not cashed if volunteer requirements are met
GAME DAY EXPECTATIONS
Arrive 10 minutes early and stay for the full shift
- Check in at the snack bar (sign-in sheet on the fridge to the left)
- No children may accompany volunteers during their shift
- A friend or family member 18+ may complete your shift on your behalf
- Volunteers must still pay game admission
SCHEDULING
- Shifts are assigned through Sign-Up Genius, emailed to all families
- You may cancel or reschedule 72+ hours before your shift using the link provided
Volunteer Duties
home GAME POSITIONS
PAR – Player Allotment Reviewer (1 volunteer)
Track minimum play requirements for the visiting team, ensuring all players meet required play counts.
Set-Up (8 volunteers)
Set up tents, tables/chairs, spirit wear booth, ticket booth, grill, and snack bar. Begins 2 hours before the first game.
Front Gate – Tickets (2 volunteers)
Collect entrance fees.
Admissions: Ages 12+ $7 • Under 11 $4 • Seniors $4 • Ages 2 & under free • 2026 SAC badges free
Front Gate – Security (2 volunteers)
Ensure all spectators pay and follow entry guidelines (no dogs, no ice chests, no outside food/drink).
Snacks (4 volunteers)
Two take orders & handle cash; two prepare orders.
No children may handle cash.
Grill (1 volunteer)
Grill food and assist kitchen/runner.
Field Gate Security (1–2 volunteers)
Monitor field entrances and allow only players, coaches, and badged personnel.
Upper Gate Security (2 volunteers)
Monitor the upper walkway leading to practice fields. Allow access for spectators with accessibility needs.
Boosters (1–2 volunteers)
Sell spirit wear and take payments.
Announcer (1 volunteer)
Announce plays, players, penalties, and keep the crowd engaged.
Spotter (1 volunteer)
Assist the announcer by tracking plays, markers, and penalties.
Scoreboard / Timeclock / Music (1 volunteer)
Manage score, downs, game clock, and music during warm-ups, timeouts, and halftime cheer.
Bleacher Clean-Up (1 volunteer)
Walk both home and visitor bleachers to collect trash at the beginning, halftime, and end of the 10U & 14U games.
Clean-Up (8 volunteers)
Break down tents, tables/chairs, booths, snack bar, grill, and clean the area.
Away Game Positions

Operate the down marker and chains on the visitor sideline.
